Early Life

Mercedeh Christine Javid was born on August 16, 1972, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Iranian immigrants Shams Javid and Vida Ali.

Her parents divorced when she was young. Javid remained extremely close to her father, while her relationship with her mother was frequently strained. Their arguments and attempts at reconciliation later became recurring storylines on "Shahs of Sunset."

Javid attended California State University, Northridge, graduating with a degree in English literature. During the second-season reunion of "Shahs of Sunset," she revealed that she had been convicted of bank fraud in the 1990s. She later moved forward from the conviction and established a professional career in real estate.

Real Estate Career

Javid received her California real estate license in 2004. Early in her career, she learned the Los Angeles luxury market by attending broker events and open houses with her longtime friend Reza Farahan.

She subsequently worked at Keller Williams, representing clients in residential purchases and sales. Although real estate scenes were filmed for "Shahs of Sunset," Javid later said that much of that footage was removed in favor of the cast's more dramatic personal conflicts.

Javid eventually joined The Agency and began working from the brokerage's Calabasas office. Her business has focused on the Westside, Calabasas, the San Fernando Valley, and other Los Angeles communities.

Wealth Trajectory & Future Earnings Projections

Her return to reality television gave her an opportunity to present more of her professional life. "The Valley: Persian Style" followed her as she organized open houses, worked with clients, and balanced real estate with motherhood.

"Shahs of Sunset"

Javid joined "Shahs of Sunset" when the series premiered in 2012. The original ensemble also included Reza Farahan, Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi, Mike Shouhed, Asa Soltan Rahmati, and Sammy Younai.

The program followed Persian-American friends living in Los Angeles as they navigated careers, relationships, family expectations, and an active social scene. Javid's friendship with Reza formed one of the show's emotional foundations. The pair frequently fought, reconciled, and became involved in one another's personal lives.

Other major storylines included Javid's relationship with Vida, the declining health and death of her father, her marriage to Tommy Feight, and the difficult birth of her son.

"Shahs of Sunset" ran for nine seasons before ending in 2021. Javid, Reza, GG, and Mike were the only original principal cast members to remain through the final season.

"The Traitors" and "The Valley: Persian Style"

Javid competed during the second season of Peacock's reality competition "The Traitors." She reached the final stages of the game as a Faithful but was banished by fellow contestants who incorrectly suspected that she might be a Traitor.

In 2026, Javid returned to Bravo alongside Reza and GG in "The Valley: Persian Style." The spinoff followed the former "Shahs" stars and a new group of Persian-American friends living in the San Fernando Valley.

The series placed greater emphasis on Javid's real estate career, motherhood, marital problems, and changing priorities.

Personal Life

Javid met Tommy Feight through Tinder. The couple married in April 2018 in West Hollywood, with their wedding filmed for "Shahs of Sunset."

Their son, Shams Francis Feight, was born on April 17, 2019, following IVF treatments. He was named after Javid's father, who had died the previous year. Javid experienced severe complications during childbirth and required emergency surgery and intensive care. She later said that doctors had advised her that she could not safely carry another pregnancy.

Javid and Feight moved into a roughly 3,600-square-foot home in Woodland Hills as they adjusted to suburban family life. She filed for divorce in October 2025 after seven years of marriage. The former couple continued co-parenting Shams and remained in frequent contact during the divorce proceedings.

After separating, Javid moved with her son into a gated townhouse in Calabasas near his school and her office at The Agency.
