Early Life

Kristina Kay Crump was born on October 30, 1962, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She grew up in the Midwest and developed an interest in performing at a young age. After finishing high school, she attended Indiana Central University (now the University of Indianapolis) before transferring to Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. During her college years, she pursued acting opportunities and eventually made the move to Los Angeles to begin her professional career.

Career On "General Hospital"

Wagner joined the cast of "General Hospital" in 1984, taking on the role of Felicia Cummings (later Felicia Jones), a spirited young woman introduced as a con artist with ties to a Mexican royal treasure. Over time, Felicia evolved into one of the show's central heroines, known for her adventurous storylines and her romance with Frisco Jones, a singer and undercover agent played by Jack Wagner.

Primary Income Streams & Multi-Million Contracts

Their whirlwind romance, marriage, and on-screen ups and downs made them one of soap opera's most beloved couples of the 1980s. The pairing's popularity extended beyond television, with the actors' real-life relationship fueling fan interest. Kristina remained a major fixture on "General Hospital" throughout the 1980s and 1990s, leaving and returning multiple times as her career and personal life shifted. She reprised the role in the 2000s and again in the 2010s, continuing to appear on the series into the 2020s, giving Felicia enduring staying power.

While most closely associated with "General Hospital," Wagner has also appeared in other television productions. She made guest appearances on shows such as "Hotel" and "Double Dragon," and had roles in made-for-TV movies like "When Calls the Heart." Wagner also starred in the 2013 documentary "Children of Internment," which she co-produced with her brother Joe Crump. The project explored the little-known history of German-American internment camps in the United States during World War II, showcasing her interest in storytelling beyond the soap opera world.

Personal Life

Kristina married her "General Hospital" co-star Jack Wagner in 1993, and the two had two sons together before divorcing in 2006. Despite their separation, the pair have remained amicable and continue to co-parent their children. She has occasionally spoken about the challenges of balancing her career with raising a family, and she largely stepped back from acting in the early 2000s to focus on her children.

Outside of her acting career, Wagner has been involved in various philanthropic and personal projects, and she is known for maintaining a relatively private life compared to many of her Hollywood peers.
